Warner Music NZ Signs Local Producer Kings and Releases Latest Single ‘Don’t Worry Bout’ It’

09 May 2016 - 0 Comments

Warner Music New Zealand is proud to announce the signing of local artist KINGS to its roster.

“Being signed for me is literally a dream come true”, says KINGS. “Production has always been my strong point so to venture off into the world of artistry and have the outcome be signed to a major label in such a short time is not only a confidence boost, but a very humbling experience.”

“KINGS innovative style of urban music is a breath of fresh air to a genre that can sometimes be bogged down with a formula of repetitiveness,” says General Manager Phil Howling. “The future looks very bright for this talented young artist and we are proud at Warner Music New Zealand to be taking the journey with him.”

Locally, KINGS is well known among music circles in Auckland’s North Shore, where his studio and record label Arch Angel Records is based. KINGS has been producing music for the past six years and has collaborated with a number of other producers including; BulletProof, Dan Aux, General Lee, Jolyon Petch (Club Luxury), eSquire UK, Crazi Biza and Dick Johnson.

KINGS first launched on to the New Zealand music scene in 2013 with Promise To You, a collaboration with General Lee which was chosen to be on the Ministry of Sound SESSIONZ compilation that year.

2015 was another successful year for KINGS, having received NZ ON AIR funding for his single Jump he also releasing a collaboration project with DJ and producer Dan Aux, A^K. The pair released the single Sippin Yak which became a huge viral hit. KINGS next collaboration with General Lee, Everything’s Going To Be Alright, saw him once again back in the limelight, and also lead to him performing at Bluesky Mana Island and Rhythm and Vines.

Whilst at Bluesky Mana Island and using nothing but his iPhone, KINGS shot an impromptu music video to accompany his latest single release Don’t Worry Bout It. The single and video have had a ton of support and will continue to grow as KINGS fanbase expands rapidly both in New Zealand and abroad.
