20 November 2015 - 0 Comments

iHeartRadio New Zealand is excited to announce Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and APRA multi award-winning and platinum selling Avalanche City will be giving a free live performance on Wednesday, December 9 at the Tuning Fork, Auckland.

If you want a chance to win tickets to this exclusive show thanks to iHeartRadio NZ and 2degrees, enter the competition here or here to go in the draw.

NZME Group Strategy and Operations Director Carolyn Luey says, “We are excited to continue the partnership with 2degrees to bring Kiwis the 'Hottest Ticket in Town'. A final show for 2015 with Avalanche City will be the perfect finish to a huge year for iHeartRadio events, which has included Free in Feb, Jessie J, Charlie XCX, Stan Walker, NZ Hip Hop and Adam Lambert.

“iHeartRadio NZ registered users and 2degrees customers have enjoyed all these great events for free. iHeartRadio NZ has just surpassed 400,000 registered users, so more people than ever before are enjoying the iHeartRadio App and exclusive stations like Official NZ Top 20, The Axe Attack and iHeartRadio Rugby.”

Avalanche City is the moniker of Indie folk singer/songwriter Dave Baxter. Playing guitar from a young age, Dave shot to New Zealand musical acclaim with his 2011 number one single, Love, Love, Love. The song was awarded Song of the Year and Most Performed Work at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and won the APRA Silver Scroll songwriting award in 2012.

Since Avalanche City’s break-through single, wide success has followed with runaway hit Inside Out and the release earlier this year ofWe Are For The Wild Places, which debuted at number three on the Official Top 40 Albums Chart and reached number one on the iTunes album chart.

Avalanche City opened Robbie William’s New Zealand leg of his Let Me Entertain You tour recently and has just unveiled a new music video for Keep Finding A Way.
