Laneway Festival 2016

07 September 2015 - 0 Comments

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival is upon us, announcing that the seventh edition of Laneway New Zealand will return to its seaside location at Silo Park on 1 February 2016.

Festival Co-Promoter Mark Kneebone says the location will have everything punters have loved about Laneway in previous years with an expanded site taking in more food and beverage options, facilities and shade. The area alongside Waitemata Harbour and the towering silos, with its ample space and grassy knolls makes for an A-grade festival setting.

“After some initial uncertainty about where we’d be for next year’s event, we are beyond happy that our old friends at Silo Park have pulled out the stops to make it possible for Laneway to return to the waterfront location for 2016,” Kneebone says.

“We’ve had four great years at Silo Park and over the past couple of months we’ve been working closely with the team there and at the Council organisation, Panuku Development Auckland to work through the timing and tweaks to the site to make Laneway Festival 2016 the best yet. Laneway has always been about delivering the best possible music coupled with the best possible location and with Panuku’s cooperation we now know we can provide the level of festival that Laneway fans have become accustomed to. And that’s without even telling you about the amazing line-up we’ll be announcing in a couple of weeks.”

The full festival line-up for Australia, New Zealand and Singapore will be announced at 11am on Tuesday 22 September 2015. Come along.
