This September New Zealand will shake when two of the mightiest powers in New Zealand dance music combine for an EP and national tour. Shapeshifter and The Upbeats have forged  a partnership stretching back years – now they’re preparing to take their mutual admiration to another level with the release of an epic collaborative recording, the SSXUB EP. It’s released on September 12, and the two acts will celebrate by hitting the road together for and unmissable event tour at the month’s end. While the EP’s arrival alone will be a huge deal amongst New Zealand’s bassheads, the tour will be the ultimate expression of the collaboration. It will feature a scorching DJ set from Shapeshifter, boosted by live elements from PDigsss on vocals. Come their turn, The Upbeats  will bring their customary full noise live experience, with tracks from their acclaimed Rituals EP from May sure to be among the highlights. As if two members of Aotearoa’s dance music  royalty sharing a stage wasn’t enough, they’ll be joined by MC Tiki across all dates. It’s a dynamite lineup, a historic collaboration and sure to be an unforgettable tour.
