3 months of eliminations throughout the country have taken place featuring over 100 bands performing during 48 live shows; now the final 34 top bands remain! Some amazing new talent has been unearthed with a very diverse array of musical styles on display resulting in many deserving bands in the finals.

Regional Finals around the country over the last 3 weeks were well attended, with some very exciting performances from bands displaying huge potential. Judges along with audience voting & TXT voting, had close call, difficult decisions to make; this year’s caliber is very high, meaning the huge line-up of talent in the National Finals really is superb and well worth checking out.

The 2013 National Finals are spread over 2 huge nights at Auckland's top live music venues; The Kings Arms on Friday 28th June and Juice Bar the following night on Saturday 29th June.

PRIZES / SPONSORS

The 2013 event features one of the best prize pools ever. NZ’s biggest and best Music Festival RHYTHM AND VINES have come on board with a slot for the BOTB 2013 Winners. New International promotional opportunities with global radio delivery / plugging & digital distribution from the event’s new USA based sponsor MUSIK and FILM to a staggering 50,000 radio stations. NZ’s JANSEN SOUND continues their great support; providing a fabulous ALLEN & HEATH Mixing Desk as well as AUDIO TECHNICA Microphones & other music gear. NZ’s best recording studio YORK STREET STUDIOS will again record the National winner’s single. VENUES

The country's best Live Music Venues hosted Battle of the Bands National Championship events. 2013 venues were: Juice Bar & The Kings Arms in Auckland, Brewers Bar in Mount Maunganui, The Outback Inn in Hamilton, The Cabana in Napier, Bodega in Wellington, The Venue Music Bar in Christchurch and Sammy’s in Dunedin.

TXT VOTING / LIVE STREAMING

The event now has TXT voting so everyone Nationwide has a chance to have their say.

THE NATIONAL FINALS

The 2 night extravaganza will be featuring a whopping 34 bands comprising of 144 musicians!

The quality of bands in this line up is outstanding. There is something for everyone, with numerous styles of music represented. 17 bands will be performing each night, with the results announced at the end of Part 2, at Juice Bar on Saturday 29th.

With additional production sweeteners of projector screens, high impact lighting show, great sound systems and a rare opportunity to see some of the Nation’s best new talent all in one weekend… this is something any NZ music fan should be attending.
