The Big Day Out has joined again with grabaseat to offer selected cheap flights and Big Day Out ticket packages online at grabaseat.co.nz to bring punters from all over the country to New Zealand’s greatest annual music festival in Auckland on 21 January 2011.
Tickets for the Big Day Out go on sale on Friday 8 October and on the same day, the grabaseat website will be offering a limited release of grabaseat Big Day Out packages.
Each package contains two great value grabaseat returnflights and a pair of tickets to the Big Day Out.
The Big Day Out has already announced its first line-up of acts for 2011. Tool, Rammstein, M.I.A, Iggy and the Stooges, LCD Soundsystem, Grinderman, Deftones, The Black Keys, Primal Scream, Die Antwoord, CSS, Plan B, Kids of 88, The Naked and Famous, I Am Giant and others will be joined by more local and international acts to make the festival’s final bill of over fifty acts.
“We are delighted to be able to hook people up with grabaseat,” said Big Day Out promoter, Campbell Smith. “if there was a grabaseat airport in Morrinsville I would be telling my grandmother to snatch one up as soon as they go online. But there isn’t, so she will be catching the bus to the Big Day Out.”
In 2006 grabaseat led the way in introducing ludicrously low airfares to Kiwi travellers, and over the past four years they’ve sold more than 600,000 grabaseat fares through their award-winning website.
“We’ve packed planes full of people to a lot of special events in that time. These flights to the Big Day Out will be one of our most anticipated offerings and the flights themselves will be abuzz,” says grabaseat Manager Duane Perrott.
