Cosmic Corner Reissues CHARTDISC Volume 3

08 June 2010 - 0 Comments

NZ Music supporter Cosmic Corner backs reissue of popular Christchurch music compilation.

CHARTDISC Volume 3 has been so popular that stock has run out prompting calls for a reprint from music fans. With all remaining stock gone, Christchurch based music champions Cosmic Corner have  come to the rescue, backing a reissue of the ‘downbeat chill’ compilation from Christchurch artists.

The popular free 12 track eco-cd sampler features delicious, soulful electronica from some of the freshest acts the garden city has to offer including Truth, Ghost, Mr Squatch, Mmdelai, Switch, Sanchez and Nacoa, the stripped back indietronica of Anthesiac, the laid back hip hop infused sounds of Electric Wire Hustle and JDubs, the smooth funk and jazz influenced beats of Carmel Courtney and Max Maxwell, nRt and Oakley Grenell’s Departure Lounge.

Cosmic Corner joins Double Happy, Becks, Licence to Chill, Creative Communities in generously supporting the production of the compilation.Cosmic Corner owner Mark Carswell said “Cosmic has been alive and kicking in Christchurch for more than thirteen years, and this is the strongest compilation we have ever heard of Christchurch sounds. The CD put together by CHART is world class, and as such deserves to be in more people’s hands and ears.”

CHART Manager Jeff Fulton is grateful for Cosmic Corner’s support “the tracks on the sampler reflect some of the incredible downbeat music coming out of the city. This bonus edition by Cosmic will mean we can get more of this fine music to those people who can help these artists.”

CHARDISC’s are distributed to music stores, radio programmers, music media, labels, publishers around NZ and also have been distributed overseas including SXSW Music Festival (USA), Australian labels, Paris trade shows, LA Production Studios and taste-makers around the world.

CHARTDISC Volume 3 2010 has been hand-picked to be turned up loud and is for promotional/broadcast only.
