Music News - Albi & The Wolves announce Long Way Round Tour

Albi & The Wolves announce Long Way Round Tour

10 June 2024 - 0 Comments

Albi & The Wolves released a new album in 2023 called Light After The Dark. To quote Graham Reid “This is not a new and improved Albi and the Wolves but rather a deepening and widening of what was always there.” The band tried a new level of production, spurred by producer TeMatera Smith, and the result is a touching, rollocking, and unpredictable record that very nearly leaves folk behind. To launch it the band pulled together a giant 11-piece band and played three very special shows. “This undertaking may have been both the most creatively rewarding and stressful thing I have ever done.” Chris Dent, frontman of the band and promoter for the tour.

“The only regret we have is that we couldn’t take the show everywhere.” So, that’s what they are going to do, with a 9 date tour across Aotearoa in a stripped back format. These will be six trio shows and three special gigs where they’ll be joined by drummer Hannah De Koster.

On top of the NZ Tour the band returns to Australia to debut the new album.

The band has won awards for their songwriting but these songs are best served fresh. Don’t miss out on a heartwarming evening full of lightening wit and well arranged indie-folk. Full tour dates below, tickets can be found at Under The Radar, album info can be found here.
