Featuring 20 tracks that offer a fresh and unique perspective on the roots-reggae genre, Atarangi: Morning Sky blends classic roots sounds with modern influences to create a unique and unforgettable listening experience. As well as catchy upbeat anthems, the album also explores the Māori myth of creation, Ranginui and Papatūānuku, while finding parallels to today's world.

Atarangi: Morning Sky, crosses multiple genres, blending Tom’s unique style of reggae, with elements of pop and rock, to create a sound that is both captivating, authentic and so clearly from Aotearoa.

Tom's soulful, smokey, vocals throughout the album is complemented by the groovy guitar riffs, epic layers of harmony, walls of sound, silky smooth basslines, catchy ear worm hooks and plush percussion, that will have you bopping, moving and grooving.

With Atarangi: Morning Sky, Tom Knowles has created an album that speaks to people of all ages, from the young, to the young-at-heart. The album's messages of love, unity, and empowerment are presented in a way that is accessible, educational and inspiring for listeners of all backgrounds.

“I set out to create an album that could be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their age or musical preferences," says Tom Knowles.

Atarangi: Morning Sky is out in the world from the 28th of May on all major streaming platforms.
