Contemporary-pop songwriter Eve Kelly shares her latest track, Dance With Me, a funky, fun-loving bop just in time for the weekend. Disco-bass heavy and flowing with her soulful vocals, Dance With Me is an effortlessly joyful offering, a true reflection of the carefree feeling of being young.
Speaking of the idea behind the track, Eve says, "I really wanted to write an upbeat dance tune after I had the start of the chorus in my head, "Ooh, ya make me want to dance", and everything just flowed from there...
"Dance With Me is about wanting to spend a night out, seeing someone that you'd love to have a boogie with, and that is all... nothing else!"
Hailing from Whakatāne, classically trained 24-year-old Eve found her footing as a songwriter during her career in musical performance. Her rich vocals and explorative personality have guided her as she's found her treading as an artist, with a sound rooted in adult contemporary, soul and pop.
