Blindspott announce new dates for their 2022 'Volumes' tour

22 April 2022 - 0 Comments

After a number of false starts due to Covid and alert level restrictions, New Zealand’s most prominent rock band, Blindspott, are ecstatic to announce new dates for their 'Volumes' tour.

Kicking off at Baypark in Mount Maunganui for a one-off special hometown show on July 30, the 'Volumes' tour is full throttle across the country from September 17 (Palmerston North) - taking in eight cities and finishing up in Christchurch on October 22.

Tickets are on sale now, more details HERE

Blindspott recently released new music for the first time in 15 years. New singles R.I.P, Tonight, and Martyr, all feature on Volume 1 and will be part of the overall four-part Volumes album package coming from Blindspott this year. The songs will feature, alongside other new music - and all the hits - across the New Zealand tour.

R.I.P was a rock radio chart topper, while new single Tonight is currently top 10 on the Rock airplay charts and climbing. R.I.P, Tonight and Martyr have all featured on the NZ Hot 20 Singles Chart.

The band’s rescheduled nationwide tour starts off on July 30 at Baypark in Mount Maunganui. The tour then picks up in September, taking in Fly Palmy Arena at Palmerston North on September 17; Great Lakes Centre, Taupo on September 23; Exhibition Hall, Tomoana Showgrounds, Hastings on September 24. Then October sees Blindspott hit The Factory, Hamilton, on October 8; Theatre Royal, New Plymouth on October 15; then to the South Island and ITL Stadium, Invercargill on October 20; Dunedin Town Hall, Dunedin, October 21; then finishing up in Christchurch on Saturday October 22 at The Good Home, Ferrymead (outdoors). Electrifying young rock band, Written By Wolves, will join Blindspott on all shows apart from New Plymouth.

“We absolutely can't wait to get back out on the road,” says Woolright.
“We haven't had the luxury to play new music for such a long time! As much as we love our old songs and how our fans connect to them, it's going to be refreshing to play new music and build new memories with our fans!”

Formed in 1997, Blindspott are one of New Zealand’s most successful rock/metal bands. They have toured Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan with some of the world’s top rock acts such as Metallica, Deftones, Linkin Park, Alexis On Fire, Avenged Sevenfold and more.

Don’t miss out on rejoicing in the return of one of New Zealand’s favourite bands. Blindspott is back!
