“Dear whānau. While Christmas is a time for joy, being thankful and spending time with whānau, it can be a difficult time when we are faced with ghosts of the past. As we go into this time, I wanted to share a piece of my heart in this very special and personal waiata as a reminder that we’re all human and just doing our best. Love, Stan.”
The new waiata features fellow celebrated New Zealand artist Louis Baker, and is to be included on Stan’s forthcoming new album. A very special reo Māori version of Human titled He Tangata features on Stan’s first-ever Reo Māori album Te Arohanui, and involves the voice of the incomparable of Vince Harder.
Tonight Stan co-hosts this year’s Aotearoa Music Awards (Ngā Tohu Puoro o Aotearoa) with Hayley Sproull in a special live television event screening at 8.30pm on TVNZ 2 and TVNZ OnDemand.
Following Christmas, Stan and special guests (Kings, Louis Baker, Hamo Dell and Crete) take to the road over March & April 2022 on Stan’s nationwide ‘All In’ New Zealand tour, covering 7 cities throughout Aotearoa. A portion of each ticket will be donated to I Am Hope Foundation.
