Warren Duncan releases new melodic, jazzy single, 'No Tomorrow'

22 June 2021 - 0 Comments

Rising musician and producer, Warren Duncan has today released his new single, No Tomorrow.

Listen here: No Tomorrow

No Tomorrow is a vibey, melodic, jazz feel good song where the listener is encouraged to feel an uncaged sort of love through the genre on the rise, Amapiano, South Africa's take on house music.

Composed by Duncan, there is a sense of romance through the use of keys and the lyrics, written and sung by singer songwriter Temwe, who’s words focus on the theme of love.

The song plays on the fearlessness of love and establishing enough trust in order to love someone like there's 'no tomorrow'

No Tomorrow is the first of many singles to come from Duncan, the song being the first of his releases that will amplify the genre of Ampaiano.

“I am a passionate musician and producer and a big advocate for Amapiano music, and having the Amapiano genre move forward in leaps and bounds outside of the usual South African music communities.”

Born in South Africa, producer and multi-instrumentalist Warren Duncan is a star on the rise. His fresh approach to African music and more specifically Amapiano, opens the door to a broader New Zealand audience.

Duncan credits his musical ability to the exposure he gained through high school jazz bands, church choir and roughly 11 years of on-and-off session musician work for other budding artists from the New Zealand, South African and Australian music scenes.

The Auckland University Music School graduate started his solo career in 2020 with his first single Only You Know punching well above expectation as a debut track.

Duncan’s love for smooth, jazzy chord progressions enhance the soulfulness within his music. He endeavours to stamp his mark on the Amapiano music radar, a young South African genre deriving from the more traditional ‘House’ style.

Over the last few months Duncan has been making his impression amongst the listening audiences of Auckland with performances ranging from Highlife’s Sunsetter Festival 2021 to local spots in the CBD; Trilogy, Cassette 9, Sweet Affairs, Infinity and Saint Alice to name a few.

With a debut EP already under his belt; Chemistry, Duncan is well on the way to his next musical chapter with many more releases to come in 2021. Don’t miss out on joining in on this exciting fresh genre of music.
