Solo indie-pop act and independent Kiwi artist, Waazoo and The Vibes, today offers up a winsome memory of summer in brand new track Juice and Lemonade.
The latest musical project and brainchild of multi-talented Musician, Actor and Creative Jordi Webber, Waazzoo and the Vibes combines pop, reggae, alt-indie and acoustic-rock with a touch of Kiwiana, to deliver smooth, easy-listening tunes.
Having just released his self-titled debut EP last year, Juice and Lemonade is Webber’s first new music of 2021. A laid-back end of summer delight, the sweet track is literally about the joys of simply drinking a cold drink on a hot day and the good vibes that come with it. “That’s really all it’s about, and I made a video based on that – kids and a lemonade stand, but it was written generically enough for people to relate to it however they want. Let’s vibe,” says Jordi.

Co-written and produced by the talented Daniel Martin, Juice and Lemonade has an authentic, stripped back sound with a relatable kiwi feel to it. “It’s easy listening and good-hearted clean music that anyone can listen to. Music is the window to our souls, what we feel, the music we choose to listen to reflects that. I want my music to be the music people play when they feel good, feel alive! I want my music to uplift and inspire,” says Webber.
The Rotorua born, Auckland based creative is all about the vibes, and whatever vibes deliver the mood and attune with him, that’s where he goes. It was while studying at university for a Bachelor of Performing Arts, majoring in acting, that Webber decided to detour into music and ended up in a band. “I found a new passion and started jamming with some mates, and Waazzoo and the Vibes was born. At this stage it’s a solo act, but when I do live shows, the band and the boys will bring the ‘vibes’ to Waazzoo.”
“I resonate a lot with surfing, skating and vibing in general, and if you can picture yourself surfing, skating, travelling, chilling out with friends and family or simply being in the sunshine while listening to my music, I have done my job.”
