After blowing away label expectations and amassing over 120k views of their video premiere on FB, 10k streams on Spotify and 15k plays on YouTube, Electric Universe are back with a killer follow-up single less than a month later. 

The reviews of the band's first single from the forthcoming record  Timeless (due 28th May on MR Records) consistently likened the band to a mix of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple. According to Patrick Hawkins, the band's bassists and co songwriter, this not by chance.

"We took the classic stylings of the 70's and early 80's and forged them together with modern production techniques. We called on the 40 years we have had to hone our craft to construct the best classic rock record we could and we have achieved that". - Patrick "Paddy" Hawkins. 

Right on Time features lead guitarist David Hinds. David played in the high powered glam rock band, Rabbit, who was fronted by original AC/DC singer Dave Evans. After Rabbit he assumed the lead guitarist position in Finch/ Contraband, which also included AC/DC bass player Mark Evans. David is an iconic Aussie guitarist who has firmly established himself as one of the most influential blues rock guitarists Australasia has produced.

"We have been a huge fan of David Hinds for many years. We sent through an early mix of the track to our Label and asked if they knew David and to pitch a guest appearance. It turns out they had just signed him so it was quite uncanny!" - Shane Davies (Singer)

Right on Time was recorded at Soundtree recording studios in Tauranga. The music video was directed by Shane Davies.

Right on Time was written by founding members Shane Davies, Patrick Hawkins and Michael "Mutt" Furness. Mutt also moonlights as Phil Rudds' (AC/DC) guitarist for Phils' solo project "The Phil Rudd Band".
