Music News - Sam Bartells Releases Follow Up Single 'Sign'

New Zealand singer-songwriter Sam Bartells today releases the second single off his upcoming debut EP Let’s Go, which is due out on Friday 2nd October.
The dark and moody lead single Blessed & Broken released earlier this year, has been gaining attention in the fiercely competitive Nashville music scene and beyond. The alt-rock single was very well-received, with music press raving about Sam’s gritty, emotive vocals and heart-felt lyricism, while garnering over 50,000 streams to date via Apple Music Nashville, with momentum continuing to build.
Now following up with the release of second track Sign, the fast-rising rock-country musician continues to impress with another melodic, uplifting ballad. Sign was penned at a time when things were tough in Bartells’ life and he was running wild, trying to find a place to belong, where his destiny lay, and how he was going to get there. As he sings in the gentle and soothing ode Sign, taking the time to be alone was vital to work out how to “have a little peace in my darkness…”

Bartells has found that peace and is now at an exciting, rejuvenated point of renewal and change since embarking on the road to sobriety four years ago. His unique music, voice, and great story-telling infiltrates people’s heads, coupled with an ability to pierce listeners’ hearts with his soulful and distinctive vocals. “For me now, Sign is ultimately a song about finding what’s important to you, and taking the time to find the right path for yourself.”
This contemporary alt-rock-country troubadour is now on a mission to share his music far and wide, taking listeners with him on a revealing and emotionally healing musical trip as he continues travelling the road to redemption and sobriety.
To celebrate the release of his debut EP Let’s Go, Sam Bartells is performing three dates this October, with his talented four-piece band, playing all the tracks off the EP and more.
