Fuzz guitars, slamming drums and biting lyrics come to the fore on this new record, which bursts out of the gates hard.
The title track - inspired by the doomsday merchants looking for sanctuary in New Zealand after they've ruined the rest of the world - churns through its riffs in 90 seconds flat.
'The Wow! Signal' throws synths into the mix, pondering the existence of alien life, while Kleptomania/Precariat imagines a world without capitalism - but with metal riffs.
Elsewhere there's the Siamese Dream riffage and #nzpol musings of Not Evil Enough, the mechanical drums and dreams of 'Utopia' and psychedelic punk of Your Lizard Mouth.
The album, released August 6 on all the major platforms, was completely written, recorded, mixed and mastered by just one guy in a rented house in west Auckland.
