Hospital Sports release single 'Life Support'

29 May 2020 - 0 Comments

"There’s something immediately hypnotic about the music of Hospital Sports" - Happy Mag

Hospital Sports are stoked to release their single Life Support, out today, the second from their upcoming album On We and You.

Known for their "penchant for crafting well thought out and arresting gems of sound" (Happy Mag), Hospital Sports are an Auckland three-piece revolving around the songwriting of Danny Ebdale. About the first single from the album, Go To Sleep, Undertheradar said it "soars and hits home" while Happy Mag wrote "Hospital Sports strike shoegaze gold."

The scene is set for Life Support with the first couplet "there's just so many holes in here/can't seem to find my place" before building to an uplifting, weightless chorus. It's poignancy and catharsis hold the potential of becoming a genre classic. The album as a whole is about problems we all share; discouragement, falling in love, emptiness and acceptance; not believing your instincts are guiding you the right way; and the challenge of accepting who you are.

Life Support is out everywhere today, and On We and You can be pre-ordered from Bandcamp now.
