At ages 11 and 10 respectively - Kay and Dee met as children in a clinic setting. They were believed to both be suffering from an acutely rare blood disorder at the time - Blackfan Bloom. Both Kay and Dee were tested and treated and now only have minimal, but lasting, symptoms of the disorder. Kay often suffers from skin lesions on his body, while Dee copes with something known as Dark Lucid Dreaming. Somehow both their initial meeting and their accidental meeting as adults now informs the music of Please Give Blood, which is uniquely experimental - combining rock, electronica and psychedelia. Please Give Blood write and perform in Auckland and are hoping to spread their infectious sound beyond Antipodean borders. They consider themselves global citizens and art spiritualists. They are on Bandcamp, Instagram and Facebook - and playing somewhere near you real soon.
