Profile for DOPPLER

Auckland

Doppler are a rising new rock band from New Zealand. Their debut single Oblivion was recorded in Auckland's York Street Studios and received NZ On Air Funding and national Radio and TV play. Their Alternative Rock sound has earned them gigs alongside performers such as Op Shop, Autozamm, and The Jordan Luck Band.

Having completed a nationwide tour they are heading into the studio to record their next three singles which are set for release early 2012. Fresh off the tour they are honed and ready to capture their popular live sound. Already playing to massive crowds in home town Mid-Canterbury, Doppler have recently added a new guitarist who brings another edge into their refined rock sound.

The Band is now Guitarist (James Brown), Lead Singer/Guitar, (Adam Wilson), Drummer (Simon Christensen), and (Ben Healey) on Bass. They have been playing since 2005 in the South Island and have recently moved to Auckland where they continue to rock out venues with their energetic style of live performances.
