On Friday 6th Dec Tamaki Makaurau alt-pop group Beachware released a new Christmas classic, Take Away The Tree.
The song was recorded and released with the help of RNZ, after the band won Jesse's Christmas song competition.
The song tells the story of going home for Christmas, with all its ups and downs. In recognition of the different types of families and their celebrations that happen on Christmas Day, Beachware are donating the profits made the purchasing of the track on Bandcamp to give to Rainbow Youth.
