Gig & Concert News - Huge demand for Auckland’s Platinum Sounds March 2020

Huge demand for Auckland’s Platinum Sounds March 2020

17 October 2019 - 0 Comments

With just under five months until the first show of Auckland’s inaugural Platinum Sounds 2020 series, Plus1 is proud to announce the first show – featuring legendary Aussie hitmakers Icehouse and Kiwi legends The Narcs at Aotea Centre on March 5th – is now sold out.

Meanwhile, the Powerstation concert the next night featuring the voice of Ultravox, Midge Ure (UK) and New Zealand tunesmiths The Mockers is now 80% sold; and to meet demand a second show has been added at SkyCity Theatre for 10cc (UK) and Jan Hellriegel.

Series promoter Kurt Shanks is delighted with the response to Platinum Sounds: “Curating a week-long lineup of fantastic international and local acts that we grew up listening to on Radio With Pictures and Ready To Roll has generated huge interest from music lovers hungry for the good stuff, and the whole series is set to be sold out well in advance of March.”

Concert-goers have responded quickly to the chance to hear live the soundtrack to their lives - in some of Auckland’s best indoor venues - with gems like I’m Not In Love, Great Southern Land, Dreadlock Holiday, Forever Tuesday Morning, The Things We Do For Love, The Way I Feel, Electric Blue, Heart and Soul, Arts For Arts Sake and many more.

Final tickets are on sale via PlatinumSounds.co.nz and Ticketmaster.co.nz

Platinum Sounds is proudly presented by Plus1 and The Breeze.
