The opening night of Rhythm and Vines features headline performances from Chase & Status, Camelphat and Andy C. It has been eight years since UK drum and bass legends Chase & Status last performed at Rhythm and Vines. With four albums and two legendary performances at Rhythm and Vines under their belt, it makes perfect sense to have one of the globe’s biggest drum and bass artists headline the opening night of Rhythm and Vines 20th anniversary celebration. Joining Chase and Status on the opening night, is the undisputed King of D&B and RAM Records head honcho Andy C, returning for his second appearance at the festival. Rounding off the first night is a NZ exclusive performance from electronic producer-duo Camelphat, who most notably are responsible for 2017 breakthrough, Grammy nominated hit Cola. Lovers of house, disco and all things dance floor are also given a treat with performances from hotly tipped TSHA, French house and disco producer Folamour, Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld and Scotland born house maestro Barry Can't Swim. Western Australian indie rockers Spacey Jane also make their debut performance at Rhythm and Vines, with more acts to be announced in November.

Night two of Rhythm and Vines features a NZ exclusive live set from UK drum and bass producer Dimension (Live). Audiences will be treated to an audio and visual treat with anthems including Desire, Offender, and Love to Give to name a few. No surprises that Auckland lists high on Spotify stream locations, placing second below his hometown of London. Critically-acclaimed British musician and producer Bonobo will bring his globally respected ambient electronica vibe to the festival. A cult following, his unique jazz infused, trip hop and world music will have the Cellar Stage forest dancing till close. Skream returns to the festival bringing his highly respected Dubstep set. The last time Skream, aka Oliver Jones, performed at Rhythm and Vines in 2016, he proposed to his girlfriend Chloe on stage (she said yes!). The second night also features performances from New Zealand indie legend Ladyhawke, who returns to Waiohika after 14 years, with debut performances from Australian indie group Crooked Colours, hyper pop Glaive & Ericdoa and more.

Australian producer Alison Wonderland makes her highly anticipated return to Waiohika Estate on New Year’s Eve. Globally renowned for big stage performances at Tomorrowland and being the highest billed female DJ in Coachella history, she will be tasked with bringing in the iconic New Year’s Eve time slot, sending 23,000 festival fans flying into 2023. And Drum and Bass icon Friction is no stranger to New Zealand fans, with regular tours and festival slots, he gets his shot to bring his anthemic crowd pleasers to the Vines Stage on New Year’s Eve. Featured performances also include Kiwi heroes Lee Mvtthews, UK garage and grime producer Flava D, and Australian house duo Cosmo's Midnight. Performances to watch out for include South African-born, Australian-raised Dena Amy (who once featured on Flight of the Conchords) through to Associanu (side project of Tove Lo). The most popular night, Rhythm and Vines is world famous for its New Year’s Eve show, including the infamous countdown video and fireworks show providing the ultimate send off into the New Year. And of course, the holy grail for festival fans across the globe is to be the first to welcome in the first sunrise in the world.
