Gig & Concert News - L.A.B Announce 2022/23 NZ Summer Tour

L.A.B Announce 2022/23 NZ Summer Tour

03 August 2022 - 0 Comments

After a massive few years which has seen them hit number one multiple times and sell out shows across Aotearoa & Australia, L.A.B are returning to the regions this summer, for three huge shows presented by Jim Beam.

In their only NZ headline shows for summer 2022/23, these three shows from December to February will see L.A.B performing alongside massive local and Australian lineups showcasing the best talent in Australasia.

The first show sees L.A.B return to their hometown to perform at Wharepai Domain in Tauranga. Hastings sees L.A.B returning after their 2019 headline show to perform at the Tōmoana Showgrounds with special Australian guests Ocean Alley. The run finishes on Waitangi weekend with the band heading to Northland for their first headline show at Whangārei’s Semenoff Stadium. Each show brings a festival-worthy lineup, bringing the summer vibes over one day.

Tickets for all shows on sale 9am Wednesday August 10, with LayBuy available for all tickets, plus on-site camping packages available for the Hastings show.

These outdoor experiences will see L.A.B again bringing the full lighting & visual experience L.A.B have become known for, alongside their unmatched live show. With an ever expanding catalogue, these shows will see the band performing tracks that have made them a household name.

The Hastings show will see Australia’s Ocean Alley cross the ditch to play at the beautiful Tōmoana Showgrounds. Fresh off a sell-out tour of New Zealand in May, Ocean Alley will be bringing their psychedelic surf-rock sound to the showgrounds, which has seen them top the legendary Triple J Hottest 100 Countdown, plus gain fans across the globe.

Each show will see a range of New Zealand and Australia’s best & brightest talent creating a unique lineup in each region. Tauranga’s Wharepai Domain will see L.A.B accompanied by The Black Seeds, Katchafire, Summer Thieves, Bailey Wiley & AACACIA for a massive homecoming. Hastings will see L.A.B & Ocean Alley joined by Summer Thieves, Katchafire & AACACIA. The final show of the three at Whangārei’s Semenoff Stadium will feature The Black Seeds, Katchafire, Troy Kingi, Bailey Wiley & AACACIA, with all three lineups coming some of NZ’s best up-and-coming talent alongside true legends.

Tickets for all shows are on sale 9am Wednesday August 10. Head to loop.co.nz for all the info, including exclusive pre-sale access.

Presented by Jim Beam, thanks to LayBuy, Hastings District Council & Loop.
