Heralded as one of Aotearoa’s greatest musical exports, acclaimed singer and songwriter Aldous Harding will return home to perform three intimate live shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this October.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 1pm Thursday June 23. For complete tour and ticket information visit livenation.co.nz.
My Live Nation members can access tickets first during the presale beginning 12pm Wednesday June 22.
Harding’s first headline shows in Aotearoa since 2020 come in celebration of her fourth studio album Warm Chris,
released on 25 March with Flying Nun Records. Heavenly Records recording artist and contributing musician to two Aldous Harding albums including Warm Chris, H. Hawkline will be the special guest on all Aotearoa dates.
The tour will first
weave its way through the United States in June and July, and the singer is also performing at European and UK festivals before making her way to Australia and Aotearoa in Spring.
Lyttelton-native Hannah Harding, better known by her nom
de plume Aldous Harding, got an early break after being spotted busking by Anika Moa and first drew widespread critical acclaim for her self-titled 2015 debut that was co-produced by Marlon Williams and Ben Edwards. Successive outings like 2017’s
Party, 2019’s Designer, and now 2022’s Warm Chris have continued to drive Harding’s success, resulting in Album of the Year nominations at the New Zealand Music Awards and the APRA Music Award-winning single The Barrel.
Warm Chris includes contributions from a variety of respected names, including H. Hawkline, Seb Rochford, Gavin Fitzjohn, Jon and Hopey Parish and Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods.
