The RVMES Release New Album Lifetime - Tour Starts Today

19 March 2021 - 0 Comments

Auckland 4-piece band The RVMES (pronounced ‘THE ROOMS’), today release their sophomore album Lifetime, an alluring concoction of the eclectic genre-fusing tracks that they’ve fast curated a reputation for. Since forming less than three years ago, The RVMES have hit the road running, with the energetic foursome releasing many singles, a self-titled debut EP and playing countless shows in quick succession.

Now, with Lifetime, The RVMES offer up ten tracks reflecting the bands philosophical ruminations on their lives, and the nature of humanity in general. For the band, it’s all about the changing rhythms of life and living, as they say, “Lifetime circles around the high and low points of life.”

Title track Lifetime sees The RVMES singing about the fun times in life when you’re young and out to impress. The new-found feelings of excitement and the energy of going out and hitting the nightlife without a care in the world. An instant friend to the radio, Lifetime takes you on a summery cruise with a classic guitar riff and lyric hooks to sing along to while you think about your fondest memories.

Mixed by the band’s guitarist Miro Gibson, mastered by Luke Finlay at Primal Mastering, each track on the album marks a distinct stage in growing up, and outlines the truly circular process involved. From the good times in Lifetime; to falling for someone in What You’re Thinking; to keeping it together in Self Control; to losing it in Gone For Days. To being alone in Desert Boy; to feeling unheard in Can You Hear Me; then just stopping to take an appreciative breath in Speed Of It. From letting your hair down in DNB; and to being let down in Treat Me So Bad; and then the creative process of it starting all over again in ‘ Big Bam Boom.

The Lifetime album tour also marks an exciting time for The RVMES boys as they return to some of their favourite locations and venues. “We’re really excited to get back out on the road to share our latest sound across the North Island.”

Over two weekends, the celebration shows kick off tonight at Auckland’s Pumphouse Theatre, followed by The Butter Factory in Whangarei on the 20th March, before performing The Cabana in Napier on the 26th March and wrapping up at Tauranga’s Jam Factory on 27th March.

Join The RVMES and be a part of their celebration of the release of Lifetime. Tickets are on sale now.
