Steriogram head off on another roadtrip
Posted: Fri Apr 22, 2005 8:19 am
With a top 20 UK single, a Grammy nomination, and over 300 international shows behind them Steriogram are ready to pile in the van, buckle up and make way on their very own NZ National tour. And this is no small tour either, the band will play a massive 29 shows over a 5 week period whilst leaving no beers undrunk and no rest stops unvisited.

The 29 date tour starts on May 17th in Paihia and will stop off at varied centres throughout the country including many of the places they visited on their 2002 NZ Schools Tour.

Steriogram are Brad, Tyson, Jake, Tim and Jared and their debut album is ‘Schmack!’. The album was released in 2004 after the band signed to world-famous label Capitol Records in Los Angeles. ‘Schmack!’ is now extremely close to achieving platinum sales in NZ and the latest single ‘On And On’ can currently be heard across radio stations nationwide, joining previous tracks ‘Walkie Talkie Man’, ‘Go’, ‘Road Trip’ and ‘White Trash’.

The boys are really excited to be back on New Zealand shores and to be unveiling the show that’s been travelling the world for these past couple of years. This is a rare opportunity to catch Steriogram live before they pick up where they left off overseas - on the road making it big!!

Steriogram will be supported by local boys 48 May who exploded onto the music scene in 2003 with their infectious catchy sound. Best known for their latest single ‘Leather and Tattoos’, they are sure to have punters throughout the country ecstatic about the prospect of seeing them perform on stage. Described as "the result when Def Leppard and Sum41 collide", the band are determined to show the world that they are just getting warmed up.

Auckland’s pop-punk group Goodnight Nurse complete the line-up. With singles such as ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Loner’ this is the perfect mix of irresponsible punk, heart-pounding rock and pop you find yourself humming days later. Goodnight Nurse are hell-bent on rising to the top whilst blowing minds and eardrums.

This is set to be the tour of all tours and fortunately with dates in nearly every New Zealand city there is every chance of making it a heck of a
night out for you and all your mates.
