THE BLACK SEEDS

The Black Seeds are an 8-piece Wellington band that produce a boundary-crossing fusion of funk, dub, afro-beat and soul, mixed with vintage reggae. What has set them apart is their ability to layer supremely infectious grooves and melodies over undiluted roots music, bringing harmony & good vibes, moving from their NZ base to become one of the best live reggae bands on the planet.

KATCHAFIRE

Katchafire are Aotearoa’s premier reggae experience, the all Maori Hamilton outfit have achieved phenomenal success with their debut album “Revival” selling in excess of 45,000 copies & the followup “Slow Burning” performing equally as well. With tours of the UK & USA, filling stadiums in Fiji & Hawaii, constant NZ & Australian shows & a new album due out very soon, Katchafire continue to uphold their reputation as one of NZs hardest working & most respected bands.

CONCORD DAWN

With a string of electronic music awards & releases world-wide plus constant touring, Concord Dawn are the true pioneering force behind the NZ drum n bass scene that is now universally acclaimed around the planet. Gold records such as “Uprising” & hit singles such as “Morning Light” & “Don’t Tell Me” have taken what is an underground genre in its original home base the UK & brought it into mainstream appreciation in NZ. Find out why Concord Dawn are respected as dancefloor decimators wherever they go.

NATHAN HAINES

Multi-instrumentalist & producer Nathan Haines brings his guitarist brother Joel & many of the players off his now classic “Shift Left” album including Kevin Field on keys & Mickey Ututaonga on drums for a very special live performance at Summer Six. One of NZs most well known & respected musicians, Nathan has already achieved Gold status with 2 of his previous albums & his 7th solo album “Heaven & Earth” will be out in February.

P-MONEY

P-Money has done it all from earning his stripes in the DJ Battle/Turntablist scene (3 x NZ Champion and 3rd place at the DMC World Champs '01), to producing mega-hits for local rap stars (Scribe "Not Many", "Stand Up", "Stop The Music" & Deceptikonz "Stop, Drop n Roll") and international heavyweights (Akon "Keep On Calling") to releasing his own platinum and double platinum albums ('Big Things' and 'Magic City') & the recent #1 hit single "Everything" (ft. Vince Harder). P- Money's world famous DJ sets are known to include a good serving of 90's dance, 80's pop and a steady dose of Hip-Hop... Expect to hear the likes of Armand van Helden, David Bowie, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z all cut up and mixed to perfection alongside a solid list of hits all produced by the man himself, P-Money.

OPTIMUS GRYME

Optimus Gryme (aka Charlie B) has evolved into one of Aotearoa's leading Dubstep pioneers, releasing Aotearoa's first Dubstep 12inch & his debut album entitled 'Eclipse', which showcases 11 original works and collaborations with Billy Fluid, Truth, Organikismness, Fiona Soe Paing and Maraku Rewiti. As well as performing all over NZ on a regular basis, Charlie is set to tour Australia in Dec 2009 with one of New Zealand's leading musician's Tiki Taane.

Expect nothing but Big Tings from this man in the near future!
