COBRA STARSHIP
LANDING DOWN UNDER IN 2010

At The Frontier Touring Company there are a few things we like. We like purple hoodies. We like guilty pleasures. We like being in on the joke. We like it when good girls go bad. But most of all, we like Cobra Starship. A lot.

Lucky for us Cobra Starship are returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2010 for their first headline tour Down Under. Come March, fans in Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth will have a chance to see these American rockers do what they do best – dominate the stage.

Their last Australian and New Zealand tour saw Cobra Starship tear across arena stages in support of Panic At The Disco, drawing rave reviews from all in attendance.

“With true showmanship the band blisters through their set list of dance floor anthems leaving, as far as pop punk goes, one hard act to follow.” – Rave

“…a dance punk delight” – Blunt

“….a mind-blowing performance” – Inpress

In March Cobra Starship will return in support of their recently released third album Hot Mess (available now through Warner) as headliners in their own right. Their most celebrated record to date, Hot Mess sees Cobra Starship in fine form. Debuting at #4 on the US Billboard chart – their highest chart peak to date – confirms to the world that Cobra Starship have well and truly landed.

While fans have voted with their feet, critics have voted with their words, offering glowing reviews of Hot Mess.

“Hot Mess is a complete success” – All Music Guide

“Hot Mess has everything you hate to admit you love about Cobra Starship.” – Alternative Press

“Gabe Saporta continues to live his Eighties-pop dreams with Cobra Starship’s third album.” – Rolling Stone

"Hot Mess, is full of rhythmic dance songs and power-pop anthems" – Yahoo

“…one of the year’s best party albums.” – Channel V

“If you don't finish this part record a hot mess, then you probably didn't have a good time.” – Billboard

Lead single from Hot Mess is the monster anthem ‘Good Girls Go Bad’ (featuring Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester). Embraced by fans and radio, the single has shot to the top 5 in both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring Cobra Starship will be well welcomed in 2010.

With a history of igniting audiences and outshining their contemporaries, there’s no doubt tickets to see Cobra Starship’s first headline tour of Australia and New Zealand will be in high demand.

OWL CITY TO JOIN COBRA STARSHIP IN AUCKLAND

The Frontier Touring Company are pleased to announce that due to an overwhelming public demand Owl City will support Cobra Starship at their Auckland concert on the forthcoming Hot Mess tour!

Describing his music as "electronic pop being force-fed a healthy diet of keyboard smoothies", Adam Young aka Owl City has touched a nerve with music fans across New Zealand in lightning speed.

OWL CITY is winning over audiences in as groundbreaking a style as his music: Zero hype with emphasis on Young’s simple and singular authenticity. Rolling Stone has hailed the singer/songwriter as a ‘Minnesota myspace sensation,’ with Rhapsody.com writing ‘even die-hard critics will find it hard not to open up to Mr.Young-at-heart….’ OwlCity has closed the deal with a dreamy mix of lively-digital rhythms and lush melodies that capture the incandescent hum of everyday life.

The effervescently catchy first single ‘Fireflies’ is already #1 on iTunes NZ, #3 overall Top 50 single and zooming up local airplay charts. A terrific video for ‘Fireflies’ has also been added across the board on local Music TV. Internationally the video for ‘Fireflies’ has garnered an amazing 6.5 million views on youtube!

Brand new album Ocean Eyes (featuring Fireflies) will be released in NZ next Monday

Supporting Cobra Starship's Australian Hot Mess tour will see OwlCity in NZ for the first time, offering the perfect opportunity for a proper introduction to our fine folk.
