INVERTS EP TOUR PRESS RELEASE:

New Zealand’s freshest new group are about to hit-out on a triple treat. During the months of September and October this original and exciting group are releasing a debut EP, embarking on a tour of the country and unleashing an amazing claymation video clip.

The Inverts are the brain child of Nic Roland, who discovered the unique sounds a Lowery Organ can emit while living down south. Nic is a member of Dunedin group the Taliband and YULE, based in Auckland. For this tour, he will be accompanied by flute/sax player Miho Wada. Miho is a full time professional female musician originally from Japan, who has recently returned to New Zealand after living and working in the UK for the last 5 years. Other contributing horn players include Eamonn Deverall (One Million Dollars, D Dub, The Taliband) and Mike Field (Jay Spectre of Canada). Expect to see guest performances from these musicians and other locals in each town.

The Inverts play a variety of genres ranging from Electropop, Bosa Nova and Drum+Bass. The truly unique element of the Inverts is their 1982 Lowery organ. Utilizing the heavy bass and drum machine of the organ, the Inverts produce music so original it has to be seen and heard to be believed. Sweeping flute solos, wicked bass heavy beats, and freestyle Jazz experimentation are guaranteed to get the crowd grooving. You will be amazed at the range and fullness a two piece group can produce without even a computer or sampler.

Lucky then that they are coming to your town in September and October.
