G-TARanaki

NZ's very 1st international guitar festival comes to Taranaki in July 08...
G-TARanaki.

G-TARanaki is definitely the place to be in July to be able to see the world's biggest and best gat players in one place.

Joe Satriani, Glenn Hughes, Gilby Clarke, Uli Jon Roth, Alex Skolnick and local wonder, Kara Gordon.

There are workshops held through out the week and Uli Jon Roth's Sky Academy will be travelling to school throughout Taranaki taking workshops.

2 massive nights of performances and our own Guitar Hero Champs will cover the Friday and Saturday nights in New Plymouth whereby every single guitarist headliner will perform live.

And I have also had word that we are expecting yet another international name announcement. Will definitely let you know!

The official website for G-TARanaki is:
www.gtaranaki.co.nz

We also have a Bebo Page:
www.bebo.co.nz/g-taranaki

And a MySpace:
www.myspace.com/gtaranaki

All tickets can be purchased through Ticketek.
There you can purchase tickets to all the workshops and sessions and also 2-night passes to the main event concerts.

At $140 for the 2 nights of concerts, pretty stinking cheap to see ALL of teh legends!!!!

We are also going to be holding the official NZ Nationawide Guitar Hero Champs at G-TARanaki.

The best bet is to get practising on the game and you can get the details from TheRock FM, MoreFM and from the official website and pages for G-TARanaki (Bebo, MySpace etc...) on how to enter.

The Cancer Society in Taranaki is proud to be co-hosting the official launch of the G-Taranaki International Guitar Festival on Monday 14th July.
As a part of this event we will be auctioning off signed guitars and various rock memorabilia items, as well as some meet and greet opportunities with Joe Satriani, the headline act of the festival.
Included are an AC/DC signed Fender guitar, a U2 signed Fender guitar, as well as items from Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Poison and more .
All proceeds from this auction will go towards the new Cancer Support Centre.
Due to the restricted numbers that can attend this event is invite only, however if you have a keen interest in any of the items please contact me and I will see what we can do to add you to the list.
Alternatively you can pre register your bid. Check out the amazing items at www.taranakicancersociety.org.nz
