Not really a MGP show, but I felt like plugging these LA based Maximum Rock N Soul Artists whom are playing one NZ show.

The Renderers return! These Southern Country artists are heading off shore for a wee while, but before they depart they are doing a few NZ dates including the one below. The Renederers are based around duo Brian and Maryrose Crook, Brian is also a member of Flying Stalwarts The Terminals and Maryrose is an artist (painter) in her own right

"The Renderers enjoys a cult following in the US with the kind of country music that a character from either a William Faulkner short story or a David Lynch film might whistle while scalding a hog. Their songs are alternately knuckle-white and grangrene-black. There's a tincture of Mississippi carried on the Antarctic wind of Port Chalmers"
