Elemeno P live with End Of Fashion
Posted: Sat Oct 8, 2005 1:27 pm
Two years ago, Elemeno P's 'Love & Disrespect' crashed into the NZ album charts at number one. 'Love & Disrespect' was an album that didn’t so much serve up a string of smash singles as simply rain them down. October 24th sees Elemeno P lining up their second album, 'Trouble In Paradise', and arming it with even more hit-wise power pop and rock sock-it punch than its predecessor.

Recorded at Melbourne’s Sing Sing studios, 'Trouble In Paradise' was produced by Sal Villanueva (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday) and mixed in his New Jersey studio Big Blue Meenie. The result is an album of 11 energetic power pop tunes packing an edgy rock punch, that includes the straight-to-the-radiowaves singles '11:57' and 'Burn'.

Elemeno P’s success has kept them busy touring New Zealand and with a second album ready to launch, they immediately looked outside New Zealand. Before they even embarked on a tour of NZ to support the release of 'Trouble In Paradise', the band completed a full tour of Australia with rising stars End of Fashion and Neon.

Anyone who has seen them in the live realm would be impressed. Playing out is the sine quo non of rockn’roll, it’s where it all comes together and by now they are a finely honed rockn’roll killing machine.

Joining Elemeno P direct from Perth Australia come End of Fashion...

Justin Burford and guitarist Rod Aravena (both ex-members of The Sleepy Jackson), Nick Jonsson is on drums and Tom King is on bass.

'O Yeah' is the first single from End Of Fashion’s self titled debut album. With its thumping bass line and stick-in-your-head chorus, it sits between ten equally punchy and unforgettable tunes that make this foursome from Perth one hell of an item to look out for.

End of Fashion spent the start of 2005 in Sweet Tea Studios, Oxford, Mississippi recording their first longplayer. Aravena reckons if you listen hard enough you can hear Mississippi on the record, though clearly End of Fashion don’t sing the blues. The album was produced by Dennis Herring, a veteran who’s worked with Elvis Costello and Counting Crows.
