This summer Osmium emerge ritualistically from the depths of the South for their fourth National tour. Forging a heavy, melodic groove, Osmium deliver a devastating live performance; like a wolf at your throat. Since releasing their second album “The Misery Harvest” on both CD & vinyl, Osmium have proven their diversity, playing shows with Shihad, Sinate, The Heavy Metal Ninjas & New Way Home – not to mention headlining their own album release tour comprising of ten dates across the country.

Three years on from their 2008 release “Relentless Primal Being,” Osmium’s new album represents the bands immense depth of experience and musical prowess. Self-produced by the band, with artwork by Vance Kelly (Down, The Sword, Trivium et. al.), “The Misery Harvest” is a ten-track lesson in the art of heavy rock. Recent reviews include this, from the Southland Times:

"Tight? My oath this is. On their murderous second album, expat-Invercargill trio Osmium easily surpass any international baseline specs for the groove metal genre and then some.

Throughout The Misery Harvest, the band's aggression and intensity are focused through an aperture with a white-hot lens.

There's a consistency of performance and presentation here that lifts the bar for local hard rock releases and demonstrates what can be achieved with good, old-fashioned song craft and musicianship.” - Chris Chilton (The Southland Times).

The “Wolf At Your Throat” tour takes in eleven New Zealand cities and is a chance for fans to experience Osmium’s unique fusion of grunge, rock and metal sounds. In 2011 the band was declared “band of the year” at the Southland Entertainers Awards. Now in 2013 the band is more than ready to hit the road again to proudly promote their second album.

Do not miss Osmium on tour this summer. Supported by some of the finest rock and metal acts NZ has to offer, this will be a celebration of epic proportions.
