HUMAN
Cadaver Academy Album Release
NZ Tour - May 2009
Official Press Release

Christchurch metal band HUMAN releases their long awaited new album "Cadaver Academy" this May 2009 and will be heading out on a national tour to celebrate it's arrival.

The album was expected to be released in early 2008, however a change in band personnel forced a halt to the recording process. After the addition of a new drummer the group then decided to scrap all of it's recorded work on the project and start again from scratch. Although it was a risky move to ditch such a large amount of studio time, energy and money, the band felt that it's new line up and consequently refreshed sound would make altogether a better album. And, the results have proven the move to be unquestionably worth it.

HUMAN's scheduled May tour will cover their hometown of Christchurch as well as Dunedin, Wellington, and Auckland, while also including new territory like Timaru and Palmerston North. Says vocalist / lead guitarist Scott Spatcher-Harrison: "This is NZ tour #4 for us and it's going to be interesting to see how the rest of the country takes to the new line up and new sound. We've never been in better form and can't wait to get out there and make a racket. Actually, it'll be more of a tight, well rehearsed racket."

Having been one of New Zealand's most enduring metal bands (originating from Christchurch in March 1992) the band's accomplishments have run the gamut from appearing on national and international television to supporting metal acts as big as the UK's Dragonforce. Most recently, HUMAN's guitarists Scott Spatcher-Harrison & Kezz Brewster have become official endorsees of Kent Armstrong guitar pickups, based in the USA.
