Titirangi Musos Co-op
at Roasted Addiqtion Cafe
487 New North Road, Kingsland

Saturday 16 February

featuring
Phil Toms & The Electric Car
The FM Band
Amorosa
& Guests

Phil Toms has been playing music in Auckland since the 70s, including playing bass as a member of Herbs on the world's first ever pacific reggae album, writing and singing the popular "One Brotherhood". Previously he had played guitar in "Tribrations", writing and singing their single "Coromandel Gold". Tribrations played at the legendary Nambassa festivals and were based in Coroglen, Coromandel. After playing bass in various Auckland bands including "The Neighbours" and "Hattie and the Hotshots" he went on to produce his own album "Stormwarning".

The FM Band features the songs of singer/songwriter and rhythm guitarist Fiona McEwen. Fiona McEwen combines folk, pop, rock and Latin influences to create unique songs with catchy melodies. Since launching on the Auckland open mic scene in 2004, Fiona regularly peforms with Steve Terry on guitar at open mic nights, markets, festivals, venues and folk clubs including the Laingholm Fishing Club, home of the Titirangi Musos Co-op. This is the third appearance for The FM Band, featuring Fiona McEwen on guitar/vocals, Steve Terry on guitar, Phil Toms on bass and Pedro Olding on drums, at Roasted Addiqtion Cafe. Upcoming gigs include the guest artist spot at East Coast Bays Folk Club on Fri 7 March and the Artisan Wines Acoustic Cafe at the Titirangi Festival of Music on 1 April 2008 also featuring Roger Greenaway and Victory Road. www.myspace.com/fionamcewen
