SIMPLE PLAN IN THEIR FIRST MAJOR AUSTRALASIAN HEADLINE TOUR

Simple Plan are making good on the promise they made to thousands of screaming fans in March and returning to Australia and New Zealand for their first headline tour.

Touring Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, Simple Plan will hit major venues in September and October.

In March this year the band cemented their popularity here performing before 70,000 concert goers. Their album Still Not Getting Any… (Warner) reached #6 on the Australian ARIA charts and #5 on the NZ Music Charts. In Australia the album is over two times platinum while in New Zealand it is platinum.

With new single Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?) already receiving notable airplay and releasing into retail in Australia on June 20 and in New Zealand on July 11, it is inevitable that the band’s popularity will increase even further. Accompanied by an emotional video clip, Untitled looks at the far reaching effect of drinking and driving and is sure to strike a poignant note with many.

Joining Simple Plan on the road in Australia and New Zealand are the Oklahoma born and bred lads from The All-American Rejects. For the Australian leg Melbourne sensations Kisschassy will kick off the evening.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday 27 June. An internet pre-sale will take place via w from noon AEST Thursday 23 June to noon AEST Friday 24 June or until the pre-sale allocation is exhausted.
