Here are the highlights from the last Music Industry News bulletin, if you would like to see the full bulletin, flick through an email and I'll send it your way.

1. Win a gig @ Edgefest '06 from CokeTunes Music Fund

The successful Music Fund applicant will win a place on the Edgefest '06 tour alongside P.O.D, Presidents of the USA, Elemeno P, Nesian Mystik, Thirsty Merc, Frontline, P-Money, Savage & Aaradhna and Goodnight Nurse!!

Applications are now being taken in Round 2 of the CokeTunes Music Fund, and must be submitted before Thursday February 16 to qualify for consideration. Signed or unsigned, the CokeTunes Music Fund is open to all New Zealand based musicians.

2. Pacific Songwriting Competition entries close 31 March

4. New Open Mic Night Starting @ Devonport, Auckland

Devonport Live presents Open Mic

Venue: The Patriot, 14 Victoria Road, Devonport
Day: Wednesday's
Time: 8.30pm start till late
Price: $2 cover charge

Format: PA provided/Sound tech No instruments provided - if you want to play, bring your own gear! Ferry's from city every half hour until 8pm and then hourly. From Devonport every half hour until last ferry 11.30pm.

5. Open Mic every Tuesdays @ Diablo, Auckland

Start: 9pm. Followed by an abundance of local artists.
Open For: Acoustic singer/song writers, poets, spoken word. Awesome friendly enviroment to meet new people and other music enthusiasts. What's Provided: PA, two mics, small acoustic drum kit. Percussion instruments welcome. Please provide own guitars.

8. Wairarapa - Monthly Singer Songwriters Night

Venue: Stellar Bar & Restaurant, 109 Chapel Street, Masterton

10. The Rock Factory - A Community for bands...

We have lots of stuff going on at
http://www.therockfactory.net/ including a growing Forum Community, Gigs, services for artists and some new recording package deals. The Rock Factory Team of Engineers/Producers can now take bands to Platform Studio (in Queen Street) and/or Montage Studio (in Ponsonby) for Recording in awesome proper studio atmospheres on quality gear. Not only that, but we are still the cheapest option Recording Facility in Auckland, but our output is not!
