Bassist looking to start/join a band in Christchurch

Hi

I'm a 20 year old female nursing student looking to start an alternative/grunge/punk band. I'm shy and normally wouldn't do this kind of thing but I figured I might as well try. I play bass mainly and this is what I would like to play in the band, but I also play a bit of guitar and I've been playing piano off and on for 10+ years. I'm looking for a guitarist, drummer, and/or singer. You don't have to be an expert musician, as long as you're passionate and willing to practice.

I love radiohead, panic at the disco (mostly a fever you cant sweat out, but vices & virtues and death of a bachelor are also ok), fall out boy (the albums prior to 2013), the cure, nirvana, blink 182, third eye blind, cobra starship/midtown, and other similar bands.

I would like to eventually do gigs and try writing our own music.
