Muso's wanted for Hard Rock / Blues / Stoner original band..

WANTED:

+Vocalist+
+Guitarist+
+Bass Player+

Yip, 2 of us over the last 6 months or so have been jamming and writing some original music, and really needing more muso's to join us and jam - as theres only so much we can do with one guitar and drums...

Its all got a mix of Hard Rock / Rock n Roll / Blues/ Stoner Rock in there - some stuff sounding like Motorhead, other jams like AC/DC etc...

We feel that NZ music is in a sad state with barely any decent rockin' bands that play good Rock N Roll / Hard Rock. Everything seems like Full on Metal / Hardcore / Punk / Emo / Indie etc, and not enough balls to the wall. straight-ahead ROCK.Its a sad state pretty much and we hope to do something about it...

Must be somewhere in your 20's or early 30s, have good gear, has transport, Reliable, committed, experienced, professional , and easy to be in a band with!

Mostly practice Sundays, and Thursday / Wednesday nights. Based out Pakuranga way.

Hey, I couldn't agree more about the current state of good old fashion rock music these days.

There are some really good bands out there, but like you say "where is the grunt and the raw power of rock these days?
Too much playstation I think.
Not enough rockin, not to mention late 80's westie rocker babes, damn I miss that scene!!

I am a lead guitarist with a similar idea about wanting to play some real music.
I not ready for a full on commitment to a band because I work at sea, but very keen to jam.

I play guitar and I couldn't agree more. I'm in a band and i'm trying to increase my skills. I'm a dedicated classic rock listener, also really keen on QOTSA and Stuff. I'm really into bluesy stuff like SRV and Bluesbreakers Clapton too. I would describe my skills at present as solid rhythm guitar in need of upskilling... you guys still looking?

We have got a great singer / guitarist now, so we are just looking for a fulltime Bass player at the moment. Our songs are coming along great, we just cant wait to find the next member so we can get full on into it!

Thanks man! Updates on the development of this band will be available on my other band's myspace page, Maskara.
We have been jamming with a great bass player recently, so hopefully she will join. She's hot, plays an awesome Nikki Sixx thunderbird bass, and a 5 string bass too, and loves all the classic 80s Rock we do. So she is pretty much everything we are keen for! We just want the right person to join us fast so we can decide on a name, get these few songs we have recorded, and gig!
