they should shoot themselves because the cover in another brick in the wall part 2 really blows. And it makes me wonder how they even think they can pull off a song from such a legendary band when they are so amatuer.

end.*(in my opinion, and it always is just an opinion)

Interesting.

But considering Korn nailed every technical aspect of the song (including Gilmour's timeless guitar solo, courtesy of "Head" who has since left the band) while making it their own track... I also liked how in the full version they included bits of Part 1 (daddy's flown across the ocean...) and Part 3 (goodbye cruel world).

But what do I know, Korn just heaps of distortion to hide the mistakes Rolling Eyes No, No!

as i said, it's just my opinion, doesn't make it right.
as your opinion doesn't make you right either.

what i was getting at was the contrast in bands.

would a metal band be annoyed if brittany spears covered one of their 'songs'?

Depends on the band.

Some would be stoked, some would be against it - but no more than in other non-pop scenes.

Personally, I'd be honoured, the royalties alone would be worth it.

I've always wanted to cover her song "Toxic"... it's infectiously catchy and I reckon I could do something nifty on the guitars with the string arrangement.

Speaking of bands 'worthy' of doing covers.

Stairway to heaven should be recreated by tool... yes, no maybe?
Most others would be shrugged off im sure.

Extremely common internet abbreviation for "In my opinion".

Tool covered Zep's "No Quarter" and it was brilliant.

I have a live bootleg recording of A Perfect Circle covering Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes"... truly awesome.

The Tool or APC cover?

The Tool track is on SALIVAL, the live album/DVD box set, as an extra studio track.

The APC track isn't an official recording, just a live bootleg job.

You can find them on any decent file-sharing application.

if you put a comp in your room there'll be severe consquences. The same ones I said there'll be if you put that poster up, which you did anyway.
