Rock vs. Urban (HipHop ect.)
Posted: Tue Dec 28, 2004 8:48 pm
To state the obvious HipHop, Rap, R'n'B ect. are different things and fall under the heading of Urban
Laughing
I have found that most people either love Urban and hate Rock or love Rock and hate Urban.
This is just an observation I've made whilst looking at some of the discussions.
Very Happy
But I'm into both though I like Urban better

The HipHop I don't like is the gangsta shit where they talk about the money, the girls (or bitches as they like to put it) and the drugs ect.
Thats why I like house music cause it has more to do with the beat than the words

One of the reasons I dislike rap and hip-hop (by the way ...rhythm and blues does not fall into this genre) is that it has caused people to speak and write in unintelligible language.
Frankly, I wish you'd all stop trying to be Ali G, and communicate properly.

Its quite true. People do tend to like rock and hate Urban or either the other way around. It's sad when a lot of people diss and then it gets...annoying. But I suppose I like Urban, it moves for me. Wink

Im just saying this from my point of view.
Although I like a little bit of both , well Urban more.

I'll have to say just because Urban is seen more and herd{how you spell the word again?} more , Rockers tend to h8 and h8 and h8 Urban more and more because its getting alot of attention.

Come on some of the concerts that went down last year which were umm alot of Urban....some of the concerts were actually sold out.Another example of URBANETTES AND UBRANERS!

My point is.....Rockers h8 Urban because its gettin alot of attention and rock isnt.{not that much anyway!}
