"Just don't come here if you're a whiny bitch that expects people to give him "props" (and land and foreshore and.......) cos his ancestors weren't treated that well."

that was what chickenman said.... WELL SINCE WE'RE ON THE TOPIC!....

look, the whole "land and foreshore" thing was confusing.

mostly because the public was totally mis-informed and got scared cos they jumped to the conclusion that maori were trying to 'steal' their right to go to the beach (way off, as far as i could see, but then im just little me)
and confusing cos most people arent one race or another anyway, most people are mixed

BUT maybe we should be more worried about is the fact the the bill which passed in parliamnt DID NOT put land into "public ownership" but rather "governmment/crown ownership" WHICH MEANS (and this is actually stated in the bill) that the PM and the governor gen. can decide to sell off a chunk of it to any bloody one they like! WITHOUT PUBLIC INPUT!! we wouldnt even know, and next thing we truly cant go to the beach cos its owned by some rich foreigner who probably doesnt even live there!
people were too busy worrying about maori owning it, to notice what the government was doing right under their nose!

AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO RUN OUR COUNTRY!

any thoughts?
