There's a Thursday evening show coming up at The Basement Bar on Thursday 24 April with The Rabble, Horror Story and Onebadweekend. $10 at the door. R18

Anzac day is the next day so the show starts and ends at midnight.... and means you can drink and not have to worry about work the next day.

Yes I agree... bring back Agent!

In the meantime, have you checked out OneBadWeekend...?

Horror Story have already played in N.P 3 times this year!

Once with Labretta Suede & The Motel Six, Dick Dynamite & The Doppelgangers, Once with The Bleeders, and once with the U.K Subs, quite impressive if you ask me in March. Our 2 Dates (Auckland and Christchurch) with another legendary U.K Punk Rock Band The Adicts got cancelled, still an impressive achivement to get asked and booked in the first place, considering we get very little help in N.P unless we do it ourselves (And theres a message in there for people who want "things to happen"). Wazza @ The Basement and Brian Wafer being two of the very few who help us out here.

Got the Rabble on the 24th of April, and DEATHPUNKFEST w/ Black Chrome, Disjecta Membra, Dick Dyanmite & The Doppelgangers and Cyclotrode X @ The Basement. Sat 31st May.

We are also finishing off our album, recently played in Palmy, Wellington and Auckland for the umpteenth time. Other Horror Story members have also done a few gigs around town as Dead City Rockers, Nekrotika and Cyclotrode X (Formerly Vampire) As well as the odd out of town gig for those bands.

.Agent. are off the the U.K and I dont blame them really, sure the odd gig in N.P might go off, but theres bigger and better things out there, and they have their act together and I wish them the best of luck.

OneBadWeekend are great too.

Wrath are training up a new bassplayer.

The Catch and Blue V have been playing a few shows recently too including opening for Melbourne band, Problem.

There used to be Thursday shows a while back, some of them were ok, some were disasters, but thats not to say they will never happen, same with All-Ages shows.

Few Kids getting started in bands at schools, always interesting to see what these bands are upto and watching the musicians in them rise among the ranks, and see who sticks at it and what they, themselves become.

Music is exciting! See and hear as much of it as you can!
My favourite flavour is Rock 'n' Roll, particularly the loud, fast variety.

Theres always gigs on, somewhere, sometime, have a look for them.
Plenty of Gig-Guides around, the Basement now has a chalkboard with upcoming shows listed, also The Entertainment page in the Thursday Daily News. Flyers and Posters are around, have a look for them, town mostly but if theres poster boards up around the suburbs we try to get a few out there too.

I hope I answered your questions, and put your fears to rest.

Craig.
