We got fucked up - We went all the way to BROWNS BAY from west (fucking) auckland to see a 48 May show - or so we thought. We turned up at 'the Brownzy sports bar' (under the assumption that most rock gigs at bars occur at nights) in browns bay where - according to this site (and 48 may's site) - They were supposed to be performing. However, everyone's fags, and upon our arrival we were shafted. We were informed that infact, some other crappy band were performing.
What the fuck?! We are pissed off. SORT YOUR FUCKING SHIT OUT!

Sorry to hear about their gig being cancelled. We try to keep things as up to date here as much as possible, but in this case we had no reason to think that the gig wasn't going to go ahead - you said yourself that it was reported on the 48May website (and it still is). We are by no means a governing authority on this, and can only report what we research.

It explains the situation from the bands perpective.

You will only note that we try to provide contact details for venues where they are available, so people can contact the venue concerned to see if events are going to take place.

As you can see there is not much more we can do!

i think thats a great idea they should cancel 48may(gay) altogether it would make nz a much less bullshit place to live. i saw them last year at a certain show in dunnaz and thought why ... i felt sorry for the sound people and alien ant farm who they were opening for ewww never again ewwww ....
