hey, you can't make a generalisation like that. There are as many talented punk bands as there are crap 'punk' bands.
Though I don't think I'll have much luck sticking up for punks in here, there seems to be an awful lot of hate coming from the metal-heads.

hey all im saying it wouldnt be punk if they had talent its the whole idea behind punk its the sound
ie.the sex pistols couldnt even play their instruments and they admit it
i like screwdriver though...

I am STOKED to say that i AM going to see SIMPLE PLANNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! I am so excited!! I'll be going to the Auckland gig! Very Happy People can post what they like about Simple Plan, I luv em, and no1 will EVER change that!! They're so awesome!!!

K i met their lead singer Pierre waaaay back when they played at Rock 101. He was just wandering round after their set with a beer and listening to the other bands. Had a good yarn to the dude eh and seemed real sweet.

As for their music.... They put on a pretty "colourful" show and had a good stage presence. It is very "poppy" but hey everyones got their own taste and they are doing pretty dam well for themselves... (i wouldnt mind it if my band was that big internationally!!)

I wouldnt pay the $75 odd (estimate) to go and see them but i certianly wouldnt turn down a freebee! I say youve gotta give credit where its due, they have a huge fan base regardless of whether its pop or not / simple music or technically mind blowing and they are enjoying themselves. Good on them...
