Band & Musician News - New Single for Sam V out 14 February

New Single for Sam V out 14 February

30 January 2020 - 0 Comments

New from the 1010’s very own Sam V, Shawty kicks off his 2020, and it’s fair to say he’s back with a statement.

Shawty is a fiery and outlandish R&B-Hip Hop bop, produced in collaboration with award winning producer, EDY. Already a veteran of the NZ music scene at 22, Sam V has been in the spotlight and releasing music since age 12, having worked with the likes of Vince Harder, Donell Lewis, Lion Rezz & Parris Goebel. Sam V’s Shawty sees him channeling these experiences into a more mature, brash & explicitly-charged R&B vocal performance, likened to that of Justin Timberlake & Jason Derulo. Lyrically, he also flashes his potential as an MC, spitting an energetic and impressionable verse.

Following a successful 2019 where Sam V was a prominent feature on the NZ Hot Singles charts, released 2 albums & 10 music videos, and started his own creative collective called Y$O, Sam V has waltz’d back into 2020 with a statement worth ‘rolling wid’. Namely a statement called - Shawty.

Keeps tabs on this young creative, as he inevitably has more output up his sleeve in 2020.
