Critically acclaimed Wellington-based musician Nicole Andrews is set to release the music video for Echo, the final single for her sophomore album, A Stranger.

This self-taught pianist and electronic artist wrote Echo during a particularly volatile point in her life. Immediately before the release of A Stranger, Nicole went through a period of rolling loss, where she found herself facing the album release without the same support base she went into it with.

“I don’t want to pretend like nothing happened. There’s other people filling that role already. Honesty and showing true emotion is what my music has always been about, so I want to close out this chapter by showing my reality.”

With the release of the music video for Echo, Nicole has an opportunity to put images to her lyrics and tell her story visually, with the help of Japanese artist Miki Watanabe, whose artistic direction for the video devastatingly portrays the end of this chapter for Nic

Echo will be available on Nicole’s website and YouTube from the 8th of February. ole.
