Band & Musician News - Craig Payne: A Tribute to John Lennon

Craig Payne: A Tribute to John Lennon

09 December 2019 - 0 Comments

It's hard to think that it was 39 years ago today since former Beatle John Lennon was gunned down in front of his apartment in New York City; for many it just seem like yesterday.

As a tribute to John Lennon, Christchurch based musician, Craig Payne, has released a very special tribute to John Lennon in the form of the single Soul Searching.

The story behind the song is a complex one and the lyrics pretty much tell the story.

Originally written in 1981, the song has been rerecorded along with the B side Liverpool Crying, with both songs capturing a little Beatle-esque magic along the way.

Soul Searching is available from iTunes, Amazon and Google Play as well as streaming on just about every platform in the world.

This is the final release for Craig Payne for this year, and it's a heartfelt tribute to a man who certainly left his mark on the world of music and inspired millions of people worldwide to 'Give Peace A Chance'.
