Riiki, New Zealand’s newest indie-pop daydreamer finally arrives to the music scene with her long-awaited debut single One Day - an entrancing dream pop tune with a head-in-the-clouds, all-absorbing feel. Now available on all streaming services.

The shimmery new release written and produced by this 20 year old emerging artist “had been in the works for yonks and yonks, waiting for it’s right moment” she says. Her reverb filled vocal layers, shimmery guitar and gliding synth sounds capture the essence and defines who Riiki is as an artist. The track is about desiring that one day something you really want will be right where you want it to be, whether that is a dream, goal or a person. You dream about it so much that it absorbs every part of your brain, wishing you had it. The track ultimately puts you in a dream state thinking about your own One Day thoughts.

Recorded in Wellington, New Zealand, mixed and engineered by Roundhead Studio’s Simon Gooding, the track has arrived just in time to be celebrated through the spring. Simon has worked with artists such as Dua Lipa, Pink, Drax Project and now Riiki to deliver this colourful new single.

With a brand new online musical presence, the past year for this up-coming artist has been jam-packed with writing in preparation for her debut. In her bedroom, Riiki has always been a songwriter, but this remained private whilst her passion for dancing has flown her to compete nationally and internationally. Now, with music being her drive, Riiki is ready to change her game. This is only the beginning and for Riiki, 2019 is just about to kick off.
